Types of Writing & Pre-Writing Techniques

April 9, 2019

To make sure your writing is the best product as possible, you have to make sure that you have a plan and know what your topic is. Your technique though really depends on the type of writing you are doing. There are 4 main types of writing. ✏
  1. Narrative Writing ( Tells stories)
  2. Descriptive Writing (Paints a picture with words)
  3. Expository Writing ( Explains or informs)
  4. Persuasive Writing ( Tries to convince or give an opinion)
The only time you need to research for your writing is when you do Expository Writing (The informational stuff 😜) Descriptive and Narrative are when use your imagination ( paint a picture with Descriptive, or tell stories with Narrative 😃). All you need though for Persuasive Writing, is an opinion or cause you want to convince others about.
Preparing to Write                                                        Brainstorming Tips
⭐Organizing your Ideas                                           1. Write Down any thought that comes to your mind

Free Writing                 Outlining                                 3. Don't hesitate writing something down
